MELTER OVER THE YEARS
1990 -
Melter S.A de C.V. was founded to meet the demand for water
cooled components for the steel industry.
1993 -
In 1993 the
Italian firm Ravagnan S.p.A. becomes a partner in our
company, providing a strong support for the growth and
current strength of Melter.
1999 - Heat Exchangers and Pressure Vessels Division
is created with technical support from Ravagnan, obtaining
ASME “U” Stamp certification. Starting this year we got
National Board “R” Stamp, ASME “S” Stamp and ISO 9001-2000
certifications, which have been successfully re-certified
since.
2005 - Ground was broken for the new building that
would house the soon to be Formed Heads shop. This becomes a
new division when starts operation in early 2006.
2007 - With the support of more than 40 years of
experience from Ravagnan, the Water Treatment Division is
established to service the industry, focusing mainly in the
steel manufacturing.
2008 - The heat exchanger division is expanded to
include heat recuperators and surface condensers.
At this time over 60% of our production is exported to USA,
Canada, Central America, the Caribbean and northern South
America. Melter is now formed by the following divisions:

modern industrial parks in Apodaca, a Monterrey México,
suburbs, just 150 miles from the US border (Laredo, TX),
